I put myself up for fixtures secretary please!
My database is ready to go, subject to format! Keep it 8 singles and 1 pairs and the system is ready to rumble!
Oh what a shame, the time for standing for election was at the AGM, but then you knew that didn't you
Always next year, though, and by then most people will have forgotten how you performed last time you were on Committee. Funny how your recollection differs so dramatically from mine, I seem to recall that there were nothing but complaints from your Div because of lack of tables etc.
Must admit I don't recall the exact details of your spat with Committee, all I can remember is that you thought you could use your position on the Committee to benefit your own team in a dispute, but found that the rest of the Committee were unanimously against you, and when you didn't get your own way, you jumped ship not caring whether anyone else was going to take over your Division or not.
I believe you were waiting for then Chairman Brian Killett to beg you to reconsider, but he and rest of Committee were adament that we were better off without you.
But times have changed and people, even yourself, have moved on, so who's to say that you wouldn't make a better fist of it next time round. Although I'd advise standing for something like 2nd Div Results Sec, a job that Ian combines with overall fixtures co-ordinator as a way onto Committee. I'm sure he'd stand aside on that one, but going head to head against him all out, I'm sure would be a mistake. Although he's not particularly loved amongst the Premier teams, he does have a lot of support amongst the lower Divs. |

I think you find Mr Pointer that I did more than a good job, what with professional style league tables, always on time.
And the fact the you allowed the team in question cheat goes against the leagues constitution. You set the rules and when it suits, decide to break them. So don't call me a liar, when they are the facts.
What team cheated??? Have i missed something here? |
