First Division Cock-Up Fixtures Thread!

Why do you always make out it’s the players and/or teams moaning.
Why don’t you just say at the next AGM:
Team sheet by this date
Money in by this date
No ums and rrr’s, those are the deadlines and if your paperwork and money isn’t in, then your team isn’t in!
Again, it’s not rocket science!
I mean, if you have direct debits for utility bills, they send you the dates for the money to come out! That’s it! If your funds are not in there, then it will either not get paid, or make you go over drawn! That date is set, end of story! Stop dragging it on, then using that as an excuse for the mistakes and delays!
As for Ian not being Septic Peg, surely he has a phone, could he not call the teams to confirm that he is not sure of? After all, he will claim back any charges through expenses! Why can’t the committee be a little more proactive, rather than inactive? You go on about how no one appreciates the work the committee do, we would if it was done properly, rather than having excuses for all the cock-ups. Why don’t you just accept the responsibilities and that when it goes wrong, stop blaming the teams, look at yourselves!
If I was doing the fixtures for the first division, I would have had two sets, as per my previous post! Why couldn’t Ian do that?
And finally, I personally think Ian doesn’t really care, as you can tell in his body language, I haven’t met such a miserable person in all my life!!

We did say that but then we would have one division of about 4 or 5 teams! And if you bothered to turn up for AGMs you would know.

You have absolutley no idea do you? You are a plonker of the highest degree. Ian could have had 12 different sets of fixtures and you still would not be satisfied.

I have had enough of the criticism directed at all members of the committee by people who just want to take. Why not do a bit of giving and put yourself forward to stand on the committee? I would quite happily revert to being a delegate and a player.

Yes you were on the Committee and a piss poor job you did too.
There was an issue concerning your own team, you didn't get your own way, the Committee voted against you and you threw your toys out of your pram and resigned. And ever since you've taken every opportunity to criticise.

I think you find Mr Pointer that I did more than a good job, what with professional style league tables, always on time.
And the fact the you allowed the team in question cheat goes against the leagues constitution. You set the rules and when it suits, decide to break them. So don't call me a liar, when they are the facts.
I couldn't give a flying wotsit what you do, or how you do it. I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over it. But don't come on here making out the commitee are doing the best job ever, because if this is your best, then may be you should do something else, maybe gardening or something.

Personally i think the committee do a fair job considering there not making that much, if i had to rate each committee member out of ten how good they do their job it;ll have to be:-
Alan Pointer 9/10
Yoda 9/10
Jamie Joyes 6/10
Alan Huckle 5/10
Ian Cambell 0/10
Still plenty of room for improvement, i'd put myself up for one of the jobs but i'm still toying with the idea of starting my own league as i'd like a lot of changes from the dated Barking League. |
