Current Champions the Zeds take on new boys the Hyneholt in a couple of pre season friendlies, Home & Away this week & next before embarking on the defence of the title.

On Weds 3rd Zeds will travel to the Hyneholt, several Zeds haven't picked up a stick since last season and others have hardly played at all, so a good opportunity to blow away the cobwebs, and get the arms cueing before season starts in earnest on 17th Feb.

Enjoyable friendly last night twixt Zeds & Hyneholt at the Hyneholt.

Nice comfortable venue. We played a 9 Singles match with opponants drawn out of a hat and some randomly drawn again playing twice to make up for the uneven numbers.

Zeds went 2-0 down, but from then on it was oneway traffic with the Champions winning convincingly 2-7. All over by 9.30ish with a succession of open games. Several games of killer to round off the evening.

One thing became clear, no team visiting the Hyneholt need worry about not finishing their food. The locals are very adept at scavanging and plate cleaning. In fact I might advise visiting teams to keep displays of bare flesh to a minimum, lest the sight of a tasty limb might prove too tempting.

Good bunch of lads in the team, should finish comfortably mid table in 1st DivWink

Yes, nice venue but I have to warn any other site members looking for a lift home abut the sexual deviance of the Hyneholters. Their captain gave me a lift home and, as per BDPL custom, I offered to repay his kindness with a blowjob (it's not gay if it's a financial transaction, right?). But oh no, Mr. Hoighty Bloody Toighty Wayne Pardon obviously thinks he's too good to accept suckage from A PREMIER DIVISION WINNING BENCHWARMER!

Frankly, I'm outraged!

Zeds last friendly before season starts in earnest played tonight, with the return visit of the Hyneholters who thankfully left their Pikey supporters club behind.

Made me remember why Zeds stopped playing friendlies, only 5 Zeds & 6 Holters bothered to attend. Still a good night though, we again played a 9 frame match with names drawn out of the hat. Went to a deciding frame before Zeds clinched a 5-4 win.

Zeds look to be staying put at Chequers for the foreseeable future.

That's right Tel, with the influx of new players now we have extended Garys contract but only on a week on week off basis, he'll say it's due to his work commitments knowing him.
